Snow?

Hey Guys,
Yes, I know you're mad....I haven't blogged in forever :( It's because I got a NEW JOB :D So I have been working! And it snowed. And I hate snow therefore I have standing in the window making faces at the snow hoping that'll be enough to make it disappear. This is just a quick post to let you guys know that I will be back with some more detailed posts about nursing and some more new videos! Keep checking back :D Byeeeeeeeeeeee.

Sunset...or Sunrise?

Hey Guys!
Sooo I feel as though I have been MIA for a realllyyy long time.....is it just me or is that true? Anyways, the program I used to edit my videos stopped working and I required some help in getting it fixed but it's all fixed now!!! :D So, I will be uploading videos in the next couple of days!! My sister is in town for the long weekend so I will be hanging out with her majority of the time but never fear for I shall make some videossss. So this week I went shopping with a friend of mine..I did not really buy much since being a student = being super broke so I only bought 2 shirts from Forever 21 and a pair of pumps which I'm considering returning since they are not that comfortable....BUT! It was kind of sad to go shopping because it only reminded me of how fat school has made me :( My lean 125 lbs figure is gone :( This has resulted in me hitting the gym hardcore and I WANT THIS WEIGHT TO MELT. But as we all know the holiday season is coming up and this is like the HARDEST TIME to lose weight EVER because of all the yummy food enticing me. Seriously...I have no will power. How am I going to survive? Chocolate is my weakness.....Let's see how I do. Ugh OKAY! I think it's video editing time so I will see you guys later and don't forget to check out my youtube channel!! Surprise Visits

Hey Guys! 

So, today I unexpectedly was able to hang out with an old friend of mine who I haven't seen in a couple of months. It started off as the most random little adventure every and it turned into a wonderful eye opening conversation. I feel like sometimes we, as humans, can hear the same advice over and over again from the same person but once a 3rd person comes along and repeats the same thing in maybe different words we all of a sudden "see the light" Isn't that odd? It's like when I'm telling my boyfriend that he should do something. And he will just nod along.....then when someone else says the same thing I said he will come to me and say "I SHOULD DO THIS" And I sit there thinking....did I not just say that to you a few days ago???

You guys know what I'm talking about right?..Today I had a friend do that with me. And I am very thankful to this friend :D I realized that as calmly and as logically as I approach a situation, that doesn't ensure that my point of view is correct. I need to work harder to keep the promises I make....I'm feeling quite philosophical at the moment. I did quite a bit of thinking today about things that have been bothering me this week and some conversations that I have been having. I was certain that I was right and I was...but not really. I need consistency to ensure confidence. Am I even making sense? I'm trying to be specific but vague at the same time :P I think it's resulting in some serious confusion...Ok well I shall leave you with this post for today while I go and edit another video I'll be posting in the next few days...Good night! Ocean Eyes

Hey guys! So, I was a tad bored today so I ended up playing around with all of my makeup and created a new eye look that I appropriately named "Ocean Eyes" The colors I used reminded me of the ocean and I really liked the final outcome. :D Yayyyyy. Bookssss

Hey Guys!
So today my little sister dragged me into my local Chapters so she could buy study guide for one of her classes. I became extremely bored and wandered off into the Medicine section of the bookstore and found TWO BOOKS that interested me so much that I just had to buy them. Now, normally I don't buy books because I feel like I can just go to the library and check them out for free and since I'm a student and never really have any money...........the library is my best friend. But these two books were so awesome that I just HAD to own them. I haven't read them yet but will most def post reviews on them once I am done but these are the books:

This book is called "The Night Shift" by Dr. Brian Goldman. It's about his experiences and about real life in the E.R. (Emergency Room)

I also picked up this book "Chicken Soup for the Nurse's Soul". I love reading/hearing about other nurse's experience in their respective fields and since I'm so sappy I thought this book would make for great inspirational stories as well as a good cry!

I am really really excited to read these books. I read one of the mini stories in the Chicken Soup book and found myself on the verge of tears in Chapters....how embarrassing lol. I bought that book specifically so that I could reminded about why I chose to be a nurse in the first place because these stories are filled with all the right reasons. I chose to buy "The Night Shift" because I am extremely interested in emergency medicine and want to specialize in that field. I want to know as much as possible about this department because I will never get to be in emerg as part of any of my rotations so it's a little interest of mine! Okay well I'm going to get reading and I'll post my thoughts on the stories as I get through them! Clinical Tips Timeeee

So I made a new video for you guys. I give you my top 10 tips for clinical! These are things that I feel are super important and things that have been constantly important. I hope they help you guys prepare for clinical and make you not nervous if you're starting them soon :)
1 - Don't fake it!
2 - Don't be afraid to ask questions
3 - Be Confident in yourself and your abilities
4 - Smiling and Small talk can take you far
5 - Double check/research all meds
6 - Offer help!
7 - Jump at the chance to do new things
8 - Organization/Preparation are key
9 - Learn to listen to what your patients are NOT telling you
10- Learn to interact with the entire team of professionals on your unit!!

Clinicals Tips Video!!

FIRST YEAR.........CHECCCCCKKKKKK

First year of nursing isssss COMPLETED! Okay so it was actually done like 2 weeks and I did make a youtube video rambling on about it...so I'll link that below and you guys can watch it. But OMG does it feel AWESOME to be done YEAR 1 OF NURSING! I feel incredible accomplished. I feel so proud that im 1/4 done my journey towards becoming a fully licensed RN. Yaaaayyyyyy!!! I am really excited about this break and just enjoying spending time with my family without having to study all the time or wake up super early for school/clinicals. Even though I'm finished first year I still feel like I don't know anything but when I actually sit down and think about it.....I have absorbed quite a bit of information in these first 12 months.  :D I don't know what else to say other than I AM SO HAPPY and relieved that I passed :P.....So check out the video to watch me ramble :D Bye guys!

Mac Haul and VACATION!

Hello boys and girls! Sooo today was my LAST DAY OF CLINICAL FOR THE SEMESTER!!! So much joy. I will now be enjoying a well deserved 2 month vacation. I am overjoyed. And because I am so overjoyed I went and spent around $150 at MAC Cosmetics to treat myself ;)....or make me poorer..whatever hahahaha.  So I'm going to show you guys what I got!!! :D:D:D:D:D:D....So happy!

This is a MAC 130 Brush. It is a small stipling brush that I use for my new foundation! I love this brush it's so awesome for blending out foundation and really focusing and working on the small spaces.

This is the MAC 129 Powder brush. Love it!

All my pretty products....minus the two brushes.

MAC Pro Longwear foundation with SPF 10 in NC40! This foundation promises to stay in place for 15 hours without moving at all and although I have heard rave reviews about it I am yet to fall in love with this product. It is really blendable and goes on smooth but my face still gets oily after about half a day....Will update if this product use improves for me!

This is the fast response eye cream. I use it every night as my eye cream and every morning as a primer for my under eye concealer. Haven't used this product enough to give a review on it but I will as soon as I have used it enough!

This is the Studio Finish Concealer by MAC in shade NW30. This is a wicked under eye concealer. I absolutely LOVE IT!

Hey guys. So let me tell you a little about my ever so exciting life....It's Saturday night. What am I doing? Cleaning. Today was most likely the most boring day of my life. I was very excited to have this one day off of work/school and to have it all to myself but after waking up at 1130am I quickly realized I had nothing to do...so I played a little but of Mario Party.....then I surfed the net and then after exhausting all other options I set about to clean my bathroom...which was disgusting by the way..BUT NOW it is sparkling clean! I get a little bit depressed when I have nothing to do...isn't is it a little sad? Saturday night and I'm cleaning. ugh. SO FUN. Well, on a happy note, I have work tomorrow so I will be occupied and on a sad note someone stole my crappy little bonus at work :( I work in a retail store and we sell SPC cards...and you get paid for each card you sell and the end of the month came and I went to collect my envelope with my measley 25.00 in it and it was no where to be found. After speaking with the store manager we determined that someone had indeed stolen it. :( IM JUST A POOR STUDENT. That money meant the world to me. It made me sad.. :( Why do people steal? Would you ever do it? I hope not.

Wedding Craziness!

This weekend was my cousin's wedding....that is why I have been totally MIA this weekend! It was a weekend filled with little sleep and lots of dressing up..pictures to follow. Just writing a little update post. I am beyond exhausted at this moment and all I want to do is sleep for a very long long long long time but I will not get to sleep in until Saturday due to school and work this week :( We go back to the early morning clinical shifts tomorrow UGH! BUT only 1 more week left until I get 2.5 months off! CAN'T WAIT! Okay guys, I shall write a longer and more detailed post tomorrow...for now good night! <3

Sing your little heart out...

Hey boys and girls! How's it going? Today I became extremely bored at home and sat infront of my mirror fiddling around with my face. After applying makeup and then being sad that I was all dressed up with no where to go, I decided to shoot another youtube video! I did 3 of them! 2 videos of me showcasing my singing and 1 vlog about nursing school! I'll post the links once they are done being edited and are uploaded to youtube. I also got bored while editing the video and took pictures...I'm a little bit of a camera whore....don't hate...we all do it. ;) Pictures below..and what do you guys do when your bored?
